| | We are starting to settle in to our new house. I am loving it and I think the kids are as well. Glen and I have both noted that the kids get a lot dirtier since we have a yard and so do we, because of our filthy kids.
Here are a few photos for those of you who live to far away for a visit.
This is the front of the house taken from the carport.
This is our front door. It enters into the living/dining room
This is a view the living/dining room from the front door. The doorway you see in the back is the master bedroom and the white wall is the wall shared with the kids room. I like the fireplace and the kids love to play in the cubby next to it.
View of our kitchen and the doorway into the guest room/Dana's computer room. the kitchen is much larger than my previous one (but really anything would have had to been larger)
This is the guest room/Dana's computer room with the laundry room in the back corner. Having a washer and dryer in the house has been wonderful. Xander gets excited when he sees me wheel out the laundry cart, he loves to help push it and load the dryer.
Our bedroom has a great view of the backyard. Theatrically, I could lie in bed and watch the hummingbirds at the feeder. Here is the view of the backyard, just outside my bedroom. It is very nice to have a yard compared to an extra large playpen.
I have been able to garden a little. I love to garden and now I have a yard. Look out spring time have I got plans for you.

Our new neighbors are great! It is a couple the same age as Glen and I with three young kids. Yesterday they passed a play structure over the fence that they did not need anymore. It has been a hit.

Xander loves the yard. The mud has become his favorite play thing and my worst nightmare.
But there is something to be said for a hard day of play, it makes for one tired kid!
